KTB Happenings

Community Cleanup Projects

Keep Temple Beautiful hosts several cleanup projects around the community throughout the year and we'd like for you to get involved! Our most recent project was held on Saturday, October 28th for Make A Difference Day. This project was aimed at cleaning up the areas around 5th, 7th, and 9th streets in Temple. For details on our next cleanup project,  follow KTB on Facebook! More information for events will be provided when available.

Eco-Lunch n' Learn

Eco-Lunch n' Learn is an hour long event that aims to inform the public about sustainability. This upcoming event will focus on how to create a sustainable Christmas, including sustainable Christmas tree decorating. Come join us for a fun seminar and a free lunch!

This last Eco-Lunch n' Learn of the year will be held on December 13th from 12noon-1pm at The Hub in downtown Temple. This event is free to the public.  Please RSVP by Monday, December 11th by calling (254) 493-4000 or email tanya@keeptemplebeautiful.org

KTB E-Recycling Events

Keep Temple Beautiful holds E-recycling events twice a year. Once in April for Earth day and again in October for the Household Hazardous Waste event. The purpose of these e-recycling events is to not only give our community the opportunity to dispose of any harmful or outdated electronic items that they no longer need, but to do so properly in a manner that won't be harmful to our environment. Like our facebook page to be kept up-to-date on when our next events will be.

KTB Receives $270,000!

It is finished. Our Executive Director Tanya Gray delivered KTB's application for the Governor's Community Achievement Award to Keep Texas Beautiful this afternoon. It's our first year to be eligible after our last win and 2014 was an outstanding year for the Temple community. Thank you to City of Temple, Texas - City Government leadership and staff and all our many partners and volunteers for giving us much about which to write - and to Tanya for bringing it all together. We are in for the $270,000 win!
